The Novation Peak, a digital, sometimes analog high end machine with true FM, 3 oscillators, high end morphing wave tables, analog filters and digital effects and a SUPER RICH MATRIX to use when making patches.
I was part of the beta team, and I made a few factory presets. Here's my whole library of 47 sounds for it. Most of them crafted with keyboard players in mind. There are bass sounds, chord friendly sounds, melodic, Rhodes like sounds and a pretty good variety, I'd say.
The original files are in the Sysex format, and they only work for the Peak. You'll need a sysex librarian software and a connection to the Peak such as USB or a MIDI interface. (USB is faster). A free and nice to use Sysex app is Elektron's C6 Sysex Manager.
In this pack I've also sampled a selection of the patches and made them into high quality, per note sampled Ableton Live patches, with FM expression, and a natural response to velocity.
In the Ableton Live pack all the wav files are easily accessible if you'd like to use the sounds for your sampler. Just open up the pack folder and dive down into the samples/ imported folder and they're all there.
Last, but not least, I've made a bunch of patches for the OP-1, where I've absolutely crushed the sounds with Plogue Bitcrusher, which is a great VST for faithfully playing sounds through old audio circuitry.
So while the Ableton pack sounds very similar to the original, the OP-1 pack takes it to a whole other direction.
Please enjoy!
Peace
